The Santa Monica Public Library has a lengthy code of conduct that it expects visitors at all five of its branches to follow. It specifically calls out everything from being noisy obvs to "using books as a footstool or pillow," to monopolizing more than one of its electrical outlets at a time. It also prohibits any of the lewd behavior mentioned by Section a of the California Penal Code, which means you're not supposed to touch anyone's genitals, buttocks or breasts in the library, nor can you "attempt to arouse or sexually gratify" yourself or anyone else while you're on the property. That's a long way of saying that an adult film performer who calls herself "Ellie Eilish" shouldn't apply for a library card anytime soon, no matter how much she wants to check out Where The Crawdads Sing. The video, which was posted in December but has since been removed from most porn-hosting sites, also allegedly featured Eilish flashing her genitals to the camera "outside [on] Santa Monica streets and even outside John Muir Elementary. He responds by saying "Mission accomplished," which is the most offensive part of the entire recording.
Thai police officers have posed for an unusual photoshoot as they re-enacted a couple who filmed themselves having sex in public. X-rated footage emerged at the weekend of a Western man and a Thai woman romping against a tree by the tennis courts at the prestigious Kasetsart University in Bangkok. More videos, of the same couple, are alleged to show them having sex next to a motorway, before going on to strip in a lift an apartment hallway. Police believe the group were making videos at the request of online customers, under the influence of foreign corruption.
The ruling by three judges came at the end of an unsuccessful appeal by a man convicted of filming himself having sex with prostitutes. His lawyers argued that the voyeurism law allowed him to do so since even a bedroom is not a private place if he was there legitimately. In a highly unusual development in a criminal case, the court allowed someone not directly involved in events to intervene in the hearing to develop arguments that consent should be the primary issue when considering cases under the Sexual Offences Act.
